What I do:

I like to define myself as having the mind of a scholar, the skillset of a lawyer, and the heart of an activist.

Most people know me as the Abogamer, a video game lawyer and activist specializing in AI ethics, XR policy, and the intersection of artificial intelligence, creativity, culture, and copyright law.

Jokingly, I call myself the Cassandra of tech ethics, blessed with foresight, doomed not to be listened to on time :D
My research has been always ahead of the curve, predicting the AI revolution while it was considered yet sci-fi; then the battles of generative AI and copyright, and for the past years, talking about the upcoming deployment of neuroware interfaces to connect to digital experiences.
In 2022, I became a TED Fellow, and my TED talk on the ethics of the metaverse has been viewed over 1.5 million times worldwide!

I’ve been an affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University, served on the World Economic Forum’s Metaverse Council, and contributed to Chatham House’s Responsible AI Taskforce.
Currently, I’m an affiliate at MetaLAB (Harvard, Berlin, Basel), a Salzburg Global Fellow, and a Datasphere Initiative Fellow.
My work at the intersection of arts and technology has been featured at Ars Electronica, Sonar Festival, and beyond. I’m also a 2024 and 2025 S+T+ARTS Prize Advisor, and author of books on AI and creativity.

Featured talks
I have presented over a hundred lectures, keynotes and talks, online and in major stages around the world, in over 28 countries, at confereces like TED, GDC, Gamescom, Ars Electronica, Sonar Festival, RightsCon, and more.
